Abstract
Uvod: Dekubitus je ograničeno oštećenje kože i potkožnog tkiva zbog dugotrajnog pritiska. Zbog otežanog protoka krvi dolazi do manjka kisika i hranidbenih tvari u tkivu izloženu pritisku. Dekubitus može nastati već unutar 12 sati te je iz tog razloga uloga medicinske sestre iznimno važna pri sprječavanju nastanka te komplikacije dugotrajnog mirovanja. Dekubitus spada u kronične rane. Postupci: Potrebnu literaturu za izradu završnoga rada pronašla sam pretraživanjem mrežnih baza podataka za objavu istraživačkih i znanstvenih radova te časopisa za akademsku i istraživačku zajednicu kao što su Hrčak, PubMed, Google Scholar. Također sam koristila i udžbenike za područje biomedicine i zdravstva. Prikaz teme: Dekubitus kao kronična rana zahtjeva sestrinsku skrb. Prevencija je najbitniji dio jer se njome sprječavaju svi čimbenici koju mogu uzrokovati nastanak bolesti te kvaliteta života ostaje nenarušena. Bitno je osigurati bolesniku adekvatne količine hrane i tekućine kako bi se proces cijeljenja rane pospješio. Liječenje dekubitusa skup je i dugotrajan proces u kojemu medicinska sestra utječe direktno na samu pojavnost i tijek. Danas se za njegu i liječenje dekubitusa najčešće upotrebljavaju obloge koje su standard premda se često upotrebljavaju i invazivnija kirurška tehnika liječenja. Prilikom provođenja sestrinske skrbi kod bolesnika s dekubitusom bitno je obratiti pozornost kako na fizičko zdravlje tako i na psihološko i biti im podrška. Zaključak: Medicinska sestra sudjeluje u prevenciji, skrbi i liječenju te je vrlo važan član multidisciplinarnog tima. Tijekom liječenja medicinska sestra mora uzeti u obzir cjelokupno stanje bolesnika i raditi na zadovoljavanju svih osnovnih ljudskih potreba, kako bi liječenje bilo uspješno.
Abstract (english)
Introduction: Decubitus is a partial damage to the skin and subcutaneous tissue due to prolonged pressure which impairs blood flow leading to a lack of oxygen and nutrients in the tissue. Pressure ulcers can occur within 12 hours, hence, the role of the nurse is invaluable in preventing the occurrence of this complication of prolonged rest. Decubitus belongs to chronic wounds. Procedures: Relying on scholarly online databases, scientific papers and journals, I have consulted used Hrčak, PubMed, Google Scholar in specific as well as textbooks in the field of biomedicine and health published in the last 5 years. Topic overview: Being a chronic wound, decubitus requires nursing care. Prevention is the key in nursing care because it inhibits all factors and the quality of patient’s life remains intact. It is essential to provide the patient with adequate amounts of food and fluids to speed up the wound healing process. The treatment of pressure ulcers is an expensive and timeconsuming process in which the nurse directly affects the very occurrence and course of the condition. Today, standard dressings are most commonly used to care for and treat pressure ulcers, although a more invasive surgical treatment technique is also often employed. When conducting nursing care for patients with pressure ulcers, it is important to pay attention to both their physical and psychological health and be supportive. Conclusion: The nurse is involved in prevention, care, and treatment and is a very important member of the multidisciplinary team. During treatment, the nurse must take into account the overall condition of the patient and work to meet all basic human needs in order for the treatment to be successful.
