Abstract
Cilj: Cilj ovog istraživanja je utvrditi prevalenciju boli mišićno – koštanog sustava te ispitati čimbenike povezane s boli među stomatolozima na području Republike Hrvatske Ispitanici i metode: Istraživanje je provedeno u obliku presječne studije. Istraživanje je provedeno u razdoblju od svibnja do lipnja 2022. putem online upitnika platforme Google Forms. Upitnik je modificirana verzija standardiziranog nordijskog upitnika koji je javno dostupan. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 213 ispitanika (radno aktivnih stomatologa). Svi su ispitanici punoljetni i dobrovoljno su sudjelovali u istraživanju koje je potpuno anonimno. Rezultati: Uzorak ispitanika u ovom istraživanju činilo je 47 muškaraca (22 %) i 166 žena (78 %). Dob ispitanika kretala se između 24 i 69 godina. Većina ispitanika (95,78 %) ispitanika prijavila je bol u barem jednom dijelu mišićno-koštanog sustava. Bol se najčešće javlja u području vrata (75 %), donjem dijelu leđa (63 %), gornjem dijelu leđa (56 %) te u području ramena (55 %). Zaključak: Zapažena je visoka prevalencija mišićno-koštane boli kod stomatologa na području Republike Hrvatske. Najčešća područja mišićno-koštane boli među stomatolozima su vrat, gornji dio leđa, donji dio leđa i područjue ramena. Statistički značajna korelacija između prevalencije mišićno-koštane boli i spola, dobi, indeksu tjelesne mase nije potvrđena.
Abstract (english)
Aim: The aim of this research is to determine the prevalence of pain in the musculoskeletal system and to examine factors related to pain among dentists in the Republic of Croatia. Materials and methods: The research was conducted in the form of a cross-sectional study. The research was conducted in the period from May to June 2022 through the online questionnaire of the Google Forms platform. The questionnaire is a modified version of a standardized Nordic questionnaire that is publicly available. Two hundred and thirteen respondents (working dentists) participated in the research. All respondents are of legal age and voluntarily participated in the research, which was anonymous. Results: The sample of respondents in this research consisted of 47 men (22 %) and 166 women (78 %). The age of the respondents ranged between 24 and 69. The vast majority of the respondents (95.78 %) reported pain in at least one part of the musculoskeletal system. Pain most often occurs in the neck area (75 %), lower back (63 %), upper back (56 %), and shoulder area (55 %). Conclusion: A high prevalence of musculoskeletal pain among dentists in the Republic of Croatia was observed. The most common areas of musculoskeletal pain among dentists are the neck, upper back, lower back, and shoulder area. A statistically significant correlation between the prevalence of musculoskeletal pain and gender, age, and body mass index was not confirmed.
