Abstract
Cilj istraživanja: Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost između preboljenja COVID- 19 i narušene ravnoteže. Nacrt studije: Presječna studija. Ispitanici i metode: Istraživanje je provedeno u svibnju 2022. godine na 20 zdravstvenih djelatnika. Osnovni sociodemografski podaci i informacije o preboljenju COVID-19 prikupljeni su anketom. Antropometrijske karakteristike ispitanika izmjerene su centimetarskom vrpcom i vagom dok je testiranje ravnoteže provedeno Single leg stance testom. Rezultati: Prosječna dob ispitanika iznosi 39,75 ± 14,22. Od 20 ispitanika njih 8 preboljelo je COVID-19. Obje skupine ispitanika ostvarile su očekivano vrijeme Single leg stance testa otvorenih i zatvorenih očiju. Nisu pronađene statistički značajne razlike u rezultatima testova ravnoteže između ispitanika koji su preboljeli COVID-19 i onih koji nisu. Također nije utvrđena statistički značajna razlika u rezultatima testova ravnoteže s obzirom na spol ispitanika. Zaključak: U ovoj skupini ispitanika infekcija virusom SARS-CoV-2 nije značajno utjecala na sposobnost održavanja ravnoteže.
Abstract (english)
Research goal: The goal of this research has been to examine the link between COVID-19 recovery and impaired balance. Study design: Cross-sectional study. Data subjects and methods: The research was conducted on 20 healthcare professionals in May 2022. Basic sociodemographic data and COVID-19 recovery information were obtained by a survey. The anthropometric characteristics of the subjects were measured with a tape measure and a scale, while balance testing was performed with the Single Leg Stance Test. Results: The average age of the subjects was 39.75 ± 14.22. 8 out of 20 subjects recovered from COVID-19. Both groups of subjects achieved the expected time of the Single leg stance test both eyes opened and eyes closed. Statistically significant differences were not found in the results of balance tests among subjects who recovered from COVID-19 and those who did not. Also, no statistically significant difference was found in the results of the balance tests considering the gender of the subjects. Conclusion: In this study group, the infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus did not significantly affect the ability to maintain balance.
