Abstract
Cilj istraživanja: Ispitati upućenost rodilja u program novorođenačkog probira i njegove prednosti, ispitati razliku u mišljenju prema sociodemografskim podatcima te ispitati mišljenje rodilja o ulozi medicinske sestre u informiranju o novorođenačkom probiru. Nacrt studije: presječno istraživanje Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 150 ispitanica, rodilja (od 23 do 59 godina). Podatci su prikupljeni anonimnom anketom. Rezultati: Najviše ispitanica, čak njih 96 visoke je stručne spreme, a zaposlenih je 136. Prisutne su razlike o upućenosti u program novorođenačkog probira ovisno o dobi ispitanica. Veliki broj ispitanica izjavljuje da nisu bile upoznate s programom probira novorođenčadi, nisu sudjelovale pri samom postupku i nisu dobile povratnu informaciju o probiru. Također, njih 143 izjavljuje da bi roditelj trebao biti obaviješten o rezultatu samog probira. Zaključak: Rodilje pokazuju znanje o novorođenačkom probiru unatoč manjku informiranja od strane zdravstvenih djelatnika. Smatraju da bi roditelj trebao biti upućen u program novorođenačkog probira i da bi trebao potpisati pristanak na probir.
Abstract (english)
Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the mothers’ knowledge of the neonatal screening program and its advantages, to examine the difference in opinion according to socio-demographic data and to examine the mothers’ opinion on the role of the nurse in providing information on the neonatal screening. Study design: cross-sectional research Participants and methods: The study included 150 respondents, mothers (from 23 to 59 years of age). Data were collected via an anonymous survey. Results: Most of the respondents, i.e., 96 of them, have a university degree, and 136 of respondents are employed. There is an age-related difference in the knowledge about the neonatal screening test. Many respondents stated that they were not familiar with the neonatal screening program, they did not participate in the screening, nor have they received feedback on the screening. In addition, 143 respondents stated that the parents should be informed on the results of the neonatal screening. Conclusion: Mothers have knowledge of neonatal screening despite a lack of information from health professionals. They believe that parents should be acquainted with the neonatal screening program and should sign a consent to screening test.
