Abstract
Cilj rada: Cilj ovog rada je pomoću prikaza slučaja prikazati problematiku hernije diska, primjenu fizikalne terapije u njenom liječenju te ulogu fizioterapeuta tijekom liječenja. Opis slučaja: Kralježnica predstavlja osnovnu građu trupa, a njen slabinski dio kako, je najmasivniji, trpi najveći pritisak. Upravo taj pritisak doprinosi pomicanju i pucanju intervertebralnog diska koji povezuje dva kralješka, a to stanje se naziva hernija diska. Bolesnica je u segmentu L4-L5 imala ekstruziju diska od čak 14 milimetara. Morala je biti podvrgnuta operativnom zahvatu gdje joj je učinjena interlaminektomija, mikrodiscektomija te implantacija. Nakon operativnog zahvata upućena je na rehabilitacijsko liječenje. Bolesnica je osjetila poboljšanje, no s vremenom je nastupilo pogoršanje. Hernija diska predstavlja jedan od glavnih uzroka pojave boli u slabinskom dijelu kralježnice. Zaključak: Fizikalna terapija kao dio konzervativnog i postoperacijskog liječenja pridonosi izlječenju pomoću svojih fizikalnih agenasa. Osim samog liječenja hernije diska važna je i prevencija kako do tog stanja ne bi ni došlo, ali i ako dođe, potrebno je usvojiti nove navike i mjere opreza kako se stanje ne bi ponovilo ili pogoršalo. Fizioterapeut, osim što primjenjuje fizikalnu terapiju, educira odnosno potiče prevenciju.
Abstract (english)
Objective:The aim of this paper is to use a case report to present the issue of disc herniation, the application of physical therapy in its treatment, and the role of a physiotherapist throughout the treatment. Cace description: The spine represents the basic structure of the torso, while the lumbar spine, as its most massive part, bears the greatest pressure. It is this pressure that contributes to the displacement and rupture of the intervertebral disc that connects two vertebrae, and this condition is known as disc herniation. Patient had protrusion of disc in segment L4-L5 which measured 14 milimeters. Patient had to undergo surgery in which interlaminectomy, microdiscectomy and implantation was done. After surgery, patient has been refered to physical therapy and rehabilitation. Patient felt relief but, as the time passed, her condition worsened. A herniated disc is one of the main causes of pain in the lumbar spine. Conclusion:Physical therapy as part of conservative and postoperative treatment contributes to healing with its physical agents. In addition to treating the herniated disc, prevention is also important so that this condition does not occur, but even when it does occur, it is necessary to adopt new habits and precautions so that the condition does not recur or worsen. Therefore, in addition to applying physical therapy, the physiotherapist also educates or encourages prevention.
