The aim of the research: The aim of the research was to examine the level of job satisfaction of emergency medical workers employed in the Institute for Emergency Medicine of the Osijek- Baranja County. Structure of the study: A cross-sectional survey was conducted, using a prospective data collection method, from January to March 2022. Respondents and methods: 102 respondents participated in the research, including 71 men and 31 women. The respondents are persons who work in the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Osijek-Baranja County, at the workplace of a driver, medical technician/nurse or doctor. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The first part of the questionnaire consisted of questions about the general and demographic characteristics of the respondents, and the second part of the questionnaire included the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) instrument, constructed by Paul E. Spector. It is intended to examine the attitude about job satisfaction, both the general attitude and individual areas of job satisfaction. Results: 74.5% of respondents plan to continue working in this position, and 82.4% of them would not change their profession. Most respondents are satisfied with their workplace. As many as 56.9% of respondents believe that work is physically demanding, and over 90% of them believe that cooperation with colleagues affects job satisfaction. The youngest respondents and respondents with the least number of years of service have the greatest satisfaction. There is no statistically significant difference in relation to the occupation performed by the respondents. There is no statistically significant difference in job satisfaction in relation to the intention to leave current workplace. Conclusion: The majority of employees believe that they have good working conditions, the respect of team leaders and friends within the work, and those with the least number of years of service are the most satisfied with their work.
