Objectives: After a systematic review of the relevant literature, the objective is to present, analyze, and discuss the specifics of family care for people with Down’s syndrome, based on presenting a case; describe society’s attitudes based on the relevant available research; present support systems that apply to Down syndrome family caregivers Case: The girl T. D. lives with her parents who are both health professionals and are also her informal caregivers. The description includes a retrospective description and analysis of the specifics of the newborn, child, and adulthood of the T.D. In the paper, the specifics of the care, positive and negative implications, institutional frameworks of support, experiences with the health and school system, and social attitudes encountered by the parents of the girl T.D. are described and analyzed. Conclusion: Family carers are the most important people in the lives of people with Down syndrome. By integrating into society, they meet with health professionals, educators, and lay people who need to have the basic knowledge for the possibility of working with people with Down syndrome. It is important to sensitize the public to the fact that integration is possible per psychophysical functional status. Public sensitization also contributes to reducing the stigmatization of people with Down syndrome and their caregivers and results in a higher level of quality of life. People with Down syndrome don't ask for much, and they give a lot. The support of those closest to them, love, understanding, and safety in the environment, are most important to them.
