Objectives: To examine the satisfaction with the quality of life of people suffering from chronic degenerative diseases of the locomotor system by self-assessment of different areas of life, and to determine whether there are differences in the quality of life with regard to general characteristics. Study design: Cross-sectional research. Participants and methods: The study involved 128 subjects suffering from chronic diseases of the lumbosacral spine, cervical spine and/or knees, who underwent outpatient physical therapy in Osijek. With prior consent, respondents filled out a questionnaire consisting of 48 questions that included sociodemographic and health data, as well as the PWI and WHOQOLBREF questionnaire. Results: In the conducted research, the youngest respondent was 22 years old, and the oldest was 84 years old. Even 72.7% of respondents belong to the female gender. The largest share of diseases is from diseases of the lumbosacral spine (38.3%), and as many as 35.9% of respondents suffer from multiple comorbidities of the investigated diseases. With the help of the PWI questionnaire, the overall quality of life index of the respondents was assessed as good, and the greatest satisfaction was expressed in the relationship with loved ones, and the least satisfaction was with one's own health. According to the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, respondents expressed the least satisfaction with physical health (WHOQOL-100 - 43), and they were most satisfied with social relationships (WHOQOL-100 - 69). As a result of the multiple regression analysis, it was determined that the standard of living and life achievements are good predictors of a better quality of life in three out of four domains. Conclusion: With the help of the PWI questionnaire, it was determined that all respondents rated their overall index of personal quality of life as good.
