RESEARCH AIM: To determine the level of physical activity and the eating habits of elderly users of outpatient care services at the Zagreb Health Center - West. STUDY DRAFT: Cross-sectional survey. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: The participants of this research were patients who are users of outpatient care services of the Zagreb Health Center - West. One hundred respondents participated voluntarily, of which 65 were female and 35 were male. The research used its own printed questionnaire. Depending on the type of survey question, the statements were evaluated according to the Likert scale, in most questions from 1 to 5. The Jamovi statistical program for the Windows operating system, application version 2.3.28.0, was used for statistical data processing. RESULTS: When asked about their knowledge of nutritional recommendations for people of their age, as many as 91 respondents (91 %) stated that they were familiar with them, and 62 of them (62 %) stated that they adjusted their eating habits in accordance with the recommendations. A statistically significant difference was found in the frequency of meal consumption during the day and the frequency of the consumption of fruit, vegetables, milk, and dairy products in relation to the level of education. A statistically significant difference was found in the consumption of water and alcoholic beverages in relation to gender. A statistically significant difference was found in the level of physical activity and assessment of physical condition in relation to age. CONCLUSION: Most of the respondents stated that they adjusted their diet in accordance with the recommendations. Elderly people with a higher level of education consume three meals a day, fresh fruits and vegetables 2 to 6 times a week, and milk and dairy products once a day. Women consume more water than men, while men consume more strong and weak alcoholic beverages. Elderly people aged 60 to 69 spend significantly more time engaged in aerobic and anaerobic activity during the week compared to other age groups and rate their physical fitness better.
