Abstract
Cilj istraživanja: Cilj rada je istražiti strah i tjeskobu vezanu uz pandemiju koronavirusne bolesti, te modificirajuće čimbenike. Ispitanici i metode: Istraživanje je provedeno među učenicima srednjih škola na području grada Virovitice, u veljači 2021.godine. Svi učenici ispunili su dva upitnika: Skala stresa zbog COVID-19 (CSS) i Skala depresivnosti, anksioznosti i stresa (DASS-21). Dobiveni podatci predstavljeni su apsolutnim i relativnim frekvencijama. Za statističku analizu korišten je statistički program MedCalc® Statistical Software version 19.6. Rezultati: Istraživanje je obuhvatilo 358 učenika. Stres od koronavirusne pandemije prisutan je kod 32,69% (N=117), od kojih 27,38% (N=32) ispitanika izražava srednje i jako izražen stres. Kod djevojaka je značajnije izražen stres, nego kod mladića (P=0,004). Uzevši u obzir vrstu škole, školski uspjeh i mjesto stanovanja utvrđeno je da nema statistički značajnijih razlika u izraženosti stresa od koronavirusne bolesti. Istraživanjem prevalencije depresije, anksioznosti i stresa prema DASS skali, od ukupnog broja ispitanika uočena je prisutnost depresije kod 23,3% (N=80), anksioznosti kod 25,4% (N=91) i stresa kod 14% (N=50). Zaključak: Među učenicima srednjih škola na području grada Virovitice, uočava se stres uzrokovan pandemijom koronavirusne bolesti. Strah od koronavirusne bolesti je u korelaciji s općom razinom stresa.
Abstract (english)
Aim of research: The aim of the thesis is to examine fear and anxiety related to coronavirus pandemic as well as the modified factors. Examinees and methods: The research was implemented among the secondary school students in the city of Virovitica in February 2021. All the students completed two questionnaires: The Stress Scale due to COVID-19 (CSS) and The Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21). The given results were introduced with absolute and relative frequencies. The statistical program MedCalc® Statistical Software version 19.6 was used for the statistical analysis. Results: The research included 358 students. The stress caused by the pandemic is present in 32, 69% (N=117) students and 27, 38% (N=32) of them express moderate and severe stress. It is more significantly expressed among females than males (P=0,004). Taking into consideration the type of school, achievement and place of residence, there is no statistically significant difference in coronavirus stress expression. While researching depression, anxiety and stress prevalence according to DASS scale, from the total number of examinees the presence of depression has been noticed in 23,3 % (N=80), anxiety in 25,4 % (N=91) and stress in 14 % (N=50) of students. Conclusion: The stress caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has been noticed among the secondary school students in the area of Virovitica. The fear from the coronavirus disease is in the correlation with general stress level.
