Abstract
CILJ: Ispitati razine stresa, anksioznosti i depresije među djelatnicima Zavoda za hitnu medicinu i ispitati kako sociodemografski faktori i varijable vezane za posao utječu na ove psihološke aspekte. USTROJ: Provedeno je presječno istraživanje tijekom perioda od veljače do travnja 2024. godine unutar Zavoda za hitnu medicinu Osječko-baranjske županije. ISPITANICI I METODE: Istraživanje je obuhvatilo 114 djelatnika Zavoda za hitnu medicinu. Korišten je anketni upitnik koji je uključivao sociodemografske varijable te Skalu depresivnosti, anksioznosti i stresa-21 (DASS-21) za procjenu razina depresije, anksioznosti i stresa. Ispitanici su se dobrovoljno pridružili istraživanju, nakon što su primili sve potrebne informacije o svrsi i ciljevima istraživanja, kao i o pravima na dobrovoljno sudjelovanje i anonimnost njihovih podataka. REZULTATI: Statističke su analize pokazale značajne razlike u nivou stresa, anksioznosti i depresije prema sociodemografskim varijablama kao što su dob, obrazovanje i radni staž. Ispitanici s kraćim radnim stažem (0 - 5 godina) pokazuju značajno višu razinu stresa, anksioznosti i depresije u odnosu na one s duljim radnim stažem (6 - 15, 16 - 25 i 26 i više godina). ZAKLJUČAK: Na temelju dobivenih rezultata može se zaključiti da su razine stresa među djelatnicima Zavoda za hitnu medicinu značajno više nego razine anksioznosti i depresije, s mlađim ispitanicima i onima s kraćim radnim stažem te nižim stupnjem obrazovanja koji iskazuju veći stres, anksioznost i depresiju. Također, vozači su pokazali značajno niže razine anksioznosti i depresivnosti u usporedbi s medicinskim sestrama/tehničarima i liječnicima, koji su imali višu razinu stresa i mentalnog opterećenja.
Abstract (english)
OBJECTIVE: To examine the levels of stress, anxiety, and depression among employees of the Emergency Medical Institute and to analyse how sociodemographic factors and job-related variables impact these psychological aspects. STUDY DESIGN: A cross-sectional study was conducted from February to April 2024 within the Emergency Medical Institute of Osijek-Baranja County. PARTICIPANTS AND METHODS: The study involved 114 employees of the Emergency Medical Institute. A survey questionnaire was used, which included sociodemographic variables and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) to assess levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. Participants voluntarily joined the study after receiving comprehensive information about the purpose and goals of the research, as well as their rights to voluntary participation and the anonymity of their data. RESULTS: Statistical analyses revealed significant differences in stress, anxiety, and depression levels based on sociodemographic variables such as age, education, and years of service. Younger employees and those with shorter work experience were more likely to exhibit higher levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. CONCLUSION: Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that stress levels among employees of the Emergency Medical Institute are significantly higher than levels of anxiety and depression, with younger respondents and those with shorter work experience and lower educational attainment exhibiting greater stress, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, drivers showed significantly lower levels of anxiety and depression compared to nurses/technicians and physicians, who demonstrated higher levels of stress and mental burden.
