Objective of the Study: The aim of the study was to examine the perception of nurses/technicians regarding palliative care in relation to age, length of service, level of education, department where they work, and place of residence. Study design: Cross-sectional study. Participants and Methods: A total of 120 participants took part in the study. Ethical approval was obtained from the Ethics Committee of the General County Hospital Našice for the purpose of the research. The study was conducted during 2024. Results: Participants have a positive perception of palliative care. Participants aged 20 to 29 are more educated about palliative care during their education, while those over 50 years old believe more that palliative care is needed in the final days or weeks of life and is provided at the very end of life. Participants with undergraduate and graduate degrees are more educated about palliative care, have undergone informal education, and believe that palliative care is often needed for months and years. Participants with 1 to 9 years of experience are more educated about palliative care during their education, believe that palliative care covers all patients with incurable diseases, and is often needed for months and years. Participants in surgical and palliative departments more frequently encounter patients needing palliative care. Participants in palliative departments have undergone informal education, and those in palliative and intensive care departments indicate that palliative care is provided at all levels of healthcare. A more positive perception of palliative care is observed among participants in rural areas with 40–49 years of experience and those with an undergraduate or graduate degree. Conclusion: Nurses/technicians have a positive perception of palliative care.
