Abstract
Cilj rada: Cilj ovog rada je, uz odabir pravovaljane medicinske literature, prikazati slučaj bolesnika s penetrantnom ozljedom oka te prikazati sestrinsku skrb primjenjujući proces zdravstvene njege. Prikaz slučaja: Pacijent N. N.,primljen na odjel oftalmologije radi penetrantne ozljede oka. Pacijentu se pri cijepanju drva odlomio komad drveta i udario u lijevo oko. Tijekom hospitalizacije pacijentu je sanirana i zašivena rana, oko je sačuvano, vid je oštećen, ali će se s vremenom poboljšati. Pacijent je primio antibiotsku profilaksu, praćeno je stanje oka kako ne bi došlo do pojave infekcije, te je cijepljen protiv tetanusa. Zaključak: Oko je vrlo vaţan organ u ţivotu čovjeka, kako bi normalno mogao funkcionirati. Ozljede oka su vodeći uzrok gubitka funkcije vida. Muškarci su skloniji nastanku ozljeda oka, jer su fizički snaţniji i više izloţeniji teškom radu. Medicinska sestra ima vaţnu ulogu u njezi pacijenta s ozljedom oka. Ona se najčešće prva susreće sa takvim bolesnikom i vrlo je vaţno da ima razvijeno stručno znanje i vještine kako bi mogla što prije i što bolje reagirati i obavijestiti liječnika, kako bi se spriječilo daljnje oštećenje pa čak i gubitak vida. Vrlo je vaţan holistički pristup i psihološka podrška u zbrinjavanju ovakvog pacijenta, kako bi se posljedice ozljeda oka svele na minimum te maksimalno očuvala vidna oštrina.
Abstract (english)
Aim of paper: The aim of this paper is, with the right choice of medical literature, to describe a case of a patient with a penetrating injury of an eye and give an illustration of nursing care in the process of giving medical care. Case report: A patient, John Doe, was received at the ophthalmology departmentdue to the penetrating injury of an eye. While chopping wood a piece of wood chipped and hit him in the eye. During hospitalization, the wound was sanitized and sewn and the eye was preserved. However, the eyesight was damaged but it would improve in time. The patient received antibiotic prophylaxis, the condition of the eye was monitored to avoid the onset of infection and he received anti tetanus serum. Conclusion: In human life,the eye is a very important organ for normal function. Eye injuries are the main cause of losing eyesight function. Men are more prone to eye injuries because they are physically stronger and more exposed to hard labour. The nurse has a very important role in care of a patient with an eye injury. They are often the first to encounter such a patient and therefore it is very important that they have expert knowledge and skills that would enable them to react as quickly and as well as possible to inform a doctor and to prevent further damage or even losing of the eyesight. The holistic approach, which includes psychological support in care for such a patient, is very important to minimize the consequences of the eye injury and preserve the visual acuity to the utmost.
