Objective: The aim of the study is to research and compare the average response time of the emergency medical response team from 2019 to 2021. Study design: retrospective cross-sectional study Participants and Methods: The study was conducted at the Institute of Emergency Medicine of Osijek-Baranja County. Data were obtained from the database of the Institute of Emergency Medicine of Osijek-Baranja County. Statistical data from 2019 to 2021 were processed using the Microsoft Excel program. The study was conducted on a sample of the total number of calls over a period of three years. The average call time of the dispatcher was compared, i.e., the time from the handover of the intervention to the team until the team is deployed. Results: The number of calls in 2020 increased by 12,030 calls, or 26.3% compared to 2019, while in 2021 it decreased by 3% and there were 1,719 calls less than the previous year. When analyzing the time, the team was deployed in the first pandemic year (2020), all three emergency classifications were delayed. Depending on the emergency level, the delay was: 0.1 minutes for Priority 1, 0.8 minutes for Priority 2, and 3.29 minutes for Priority 3. With the gradual easing of anti-epidemic public health measures in 2021, the response of the teams improved. The deploy to Priority 2 interventions is -1 minute, Priority 3 is -1.57 minutes, while the deploy to Priority 1 intervention was delayed by an additional 0.22 minutes, which should be further researched in future studies. Conclusion: The paper examined and compared the average response time of the medical emergency teams and concluded that the emergency medical teams deployment time for all priorities was delayed in 2020. This was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the use of the safety protocols before the team had left the base.
