Abstract
Ciljevi istraživanja: Ciljevi ovog istraživačkog rada bili su utvrditi provodi li na internetu više vremena muški ili ženski spol, utvrditi za što adolescenti najčešće koriste internet te procijeniti jesu li ovisni o internetu. Nacrt istraživanja: Presječno istraživanje Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanje su bili uključeni punoljetni učenici Škole za medicinske sestre Vrapče. Istraživanje je provedeno anonimnim anketnim upitnikom, a prvi dio upitnika sastojao se od sociodemografskih pitanja dok se drugi dio upitnika sastojao od dvadeset pitanja o ovisnosti. Pomoću zadnjih osam pitanja procijenjena je ovisnost o internetu. Rezultati: Obrađeni su podatci 68 učenika Škole za medicinske sestre Vrapče. Rezultati pokazuju kako većina adolescenata koristi internet više od tri sata dnevno bez obzira na spol ispitanika. Muškarci najčešće koriste internet za igranje video igrica i slušanje pjesama, dok žene najčešće koriste internet za društvene mreže. Kod većine ispitanika u oba spola prisutna je umjerena ovisnost o internetu. Zaključak: Umjerena ovisnost o internetu vrlo je česta pojava kod adolescenata Škole za medicinske sestre Vrapče stoga je vidljiva potreba za edukacijom u školama kako bi učenici mogli povući granicu između normalnog i prekomjernog korištenja interneta i kako bi više vremena posvetili stvarnom životu umjesto virtualnom.
Abstract (english)
Objectives: The main goal of this research paper is to determine whether males or females spend more time on the Internet, for what reason adolescents most often use it, and whether they are addicted to it. Study Design: cross-sectional study Participants and methods: Adult pupils from Vrapče Nursing School participated in the research. The research was done by means of an anonymous survey questionnaire. The first part of the questionnaire consists of sociodemographic questions, while the second part includes 20 questions about the Internet addiction. The level of addiction was estimated using the last eight questions. Results: The data were collected from 68 pupils from Vrapče Nursing School. The results have shown that the majority of respondents use the Internet for more than three hours a day, regardless of their sex. Males most often use the Internet for playing video games and listening to music, whereas females mostly use social media. The majority of respondents of both sexes have a moderate Internet addiction. Conclusion: A moderate Internet addiction is very common in adolescents from Vrapče Nursing School. Hence, there is an evident need to educate pupils where to draw the line between a normal and excessive use of the Internet, and how to dedicate more time to their real life instead of the virtual one.
