Abstract
Cilj: ispitati prehrambene navike učenika osnovne škole te utvrditi postoje li razlike u prehrani s obzirom na dob, spol, mjesto stanovanja i razinu obrazovanja roditelja. Metode: presječna studija. Za ispitivanje je korišten anonimni upitnik. Rezultati: Prehrambene navike učenika osnovne škole su zadovoljavajuće jer je prehrana raznolika, a ITM je u fiziološkim granicama u 60 % ispitanika. Razlike u prehrani s obzirom na dob i spol nisu utvrđene, dok je prema mjestu stanovanja i razini obrazovanja roditelja utvrđeno kako djeca koja žive na selu i djeca čiji roditelji imaju srednju stručnu spremu češće konzumiraju kuhane i raznolike obroke od djece roditelja s visokom stručnom spremom i koja žive u gradu. Zaključak: Pravilna prehrana i usvajanje zdravih prehrambenih navika imperativ je za sve školske programe diljem svijeta pa tako i u Republici Hrvatskoj. Škole bi trebale razviti proaktivne pristupe promicanju besplatnih školskih obroka, a pozornost bi se trebala posvetiti ne samo kvaliteti i dostupnosti hrane, već i društvenim, kulturnim i ekološkim aspektima prehrane. Medicinske sestre, posebno patronažne sestre kroz svoje edukacije omogućuju javnosti razlikovanje i kombiniranje zdravih namirnica kako bi se djeci osigurali uravnoteženi obroci tijekom dana.
Abstract (english)
Objective: to examine the eating habits of elementary school students and to determine whether there are differences in nutrition regarding age, gender, place of residence and the level of education of the parents. Methods: cross-sectional study. An anonymous questionnaire was used for the research. Results: The eating habits of elementary school students are satisfactory because the diet is varied, and the BMI is within physiological limits in 60% of the respondents. Differences in nutrition with regard to age and gender were not determined, while according to the place of residence and the level of education of the parents, it was determined that children who live in the countryside and children whose parents have a secondary education more often consume cooked and varied meals than children of parents with a higher education and who live in the city. Conclusion: Proper nutrition and adoption of healthy eating habits is imperative for all school programs around the world, including in the Republic of Croatia. Schools should develop initiative-taking approaches to promoting free school meals, and attention should be given not only to the quality and availability of food, but also to the social, cultural, and environmental aspects of nutrition. Through their training, nurses, especially visiting nurses, enable the public to distinguish and combine healthy foods in order to provide children with balanced meals during the day.
