| Abstract | Cilj istraživanja. Cilj ovog istraživanja je utvrditi imaju li kožne bolesti/promjene utjecaja na
psihičko zdravlje ispitanika koji od njih boluju.
Ustroj studije. Ustroj studije čini presječno istraživanje.
Ispitanici i metode. Ispitanici ovog istraživanja su studenti sa Sveučilišta J. J. Strossmayera
u Osijeku, prve i druge godine diplomskog studija Sestrinstva. U anketnom upitniku sudjelovao
je 61 ispitanik.
Rezultati. Rezultati provedenog istraživanja govore kako kožne bolesti/promjene utječu na
psihičko zdravlje i društveni život studenata prve i druge godine diplomskog studija Sestrinstva
Sveučilišta J. J. Strossmayera. Kožne bolesti/promjene od kojih najčešće boluju ispitanici jesu
prištići/miteseri (56,1 %), zatim slijede akne (31,7 %) te ostale kožne bolesti/promjene (26,8
%). Od vitiliga boluje 9,8 % ispitanika, a od psorijaze i rosaceje njih 4,9 %. Kožne
bolesti/promjene kod ispitanika najčešće izazivaju nezadovoljstvo izgledom, to potvrđuje
odgovor od 35,1 % ispitanika, a također u velikom postotku od 31,2 % njih, izazivaju i
smanjeno samopouzdanje. Kožne bolesti/promjene izazivaju depresivnost kod 9,1 % ispitanika,
a nervozu i anksioznost kod 6,5 % ispitanika. Na temelju provedene ankete, zaključuje se kako
kožne bolesti/promjene imaju manji utjecaj na društveni život ispitanika. Na pitanje jesu li ikad
odbili druženje radi kožne bolesti/promjene, 75,4 % njih odgovara kako nisu, dok je 24,6 %
ispitanika odbilo druženje, nešto više ispitanika navodi kako su osjetili nelagodu u društvu zbog
kožnih bolesti/promjena, pa tako 37,7 % ispitanika odgovara kako jesu, dok 62,3 % ispitanika
odgovara kako nije osjetilo nelagodu u društvu.
Zaključak. Zaključno možemo potvrditi kako kožne bolesti/promjene imaju utjecaj na
mentalno zdravlje ispitanika. Kod nekih u manjoj mjeri, kod nekih u većoj, ovisno o razini
poimanja teškoće s kojom se nose. Također potvrdno u anketnom istraživanju možemo vidjeti
da većina poseže za medicinskim tretmanima i rješenjima kako bi ublažili svoje tegobe jer
odrješenjem fizičkih tegoba, umanjuju se i one psihičke. |
| Abstract (english) | Research aim. The aim of this research is to determine whether skin diseases have an impact
on mental health of subjects suffering from skin diseases/changes.
Study structure. The study is structured as a cross-sectional research.
Subjects and methods. The subjects of this research are students of the J. J. Strossmayer
University of Osijek, first and second year graduates majoring in Nursing. 61 students
participated questionnaire.
The results. The results of the conducted research show how skin diseases/changes affect
mental health and social life of first- and second-year graduate students of Nursing of the
University of J.J. Strossmayer. The skin diseases/changes most often experienced by the
respondents are pimples/blackheads (56.1 %), followed by acne (31.7 %) and other skin
diseases/changes (26.8 %). 9.8 % of respondents suffer from vitiligo, while 4.9 % suffer from
psoriasis and rosacea. Skin diseases/changes in respondents most often cause dissatisfaction
with appearance, which confirm 35.1 % participants. A significant percentage of 31.2 % of
participants also states that skin diseases/changes lower their self-confidence. Skin
diseases/changes cause depression in 9.1 % of respondents, whereas 6.5 % of respondents claim
to experience nervousness and anxiety. The conducted research concludes that skin
diseases/changes have a small impact on the respondents’ social life. When asked if they had
ever refused socializing because of skin diseases/changes, 75.4 % of them answered that they
had not, while 24.6 % of respondents confirmed refusing socializing. A slightly higher
percentage of the respondents stated that they felt uncomfortable in social situations because of
their skin diseases/changes – 37.7 % of respondents confirmed this, while 62.3 % of
respondents answered that they did not feel uncomfortable.
Conclusion. It is confirmed that skin diseases have an impact on the respondents’ psychological
health. Depending on the level of participants’ self-perception of the condition, the degree of
the experienced difficulties varies. Moreover, the research confirms that most of the participants
opt for medical treatments or solutions to alleviate their symptoms since reducing physical
symptoms reduces mental ones as well. |
