Abstract | CILJ ISTRAŽIVANJA: Ispitati povezanost simptoma depresije, anksioznosti i stresa s kvalitetom sna studenata Sveučilišnog diplomskog studija Sestrinstva, dislociranog u Svetoj Nedelji.
USTROJ STUDIJE: Provedeno je presječno istraživanje.
METODE: Ispitanike su činili svi studenti Diplomskog sveučilišnog studija Sestrinstva, Fakulteta za dentalnu medicinu i zdravstvo Osijek, dislociranog u Svetoj Nedelji koji su pristali dobrovoljno sudjelovati u istraživanju. Podatci su prikupljani upitnikom o utjecaju depresije, anksioznosti i stresa na kvalitetu sna studenata Sestrinstva.
REZULTATI: Većina ispitanika bila je ženskog spola, prosječne dobi 31 godina, zaposlenih i na drugoj godini studija. Ispitanici su prosječno iskazali blagu depresiju, blagu anksioznost i blagi stres. Čak 57,7 % ispitanika imalo je loš san, a kvalitetan 42,3 % ispitanika. Umjereni, teški i vrlo teški simptomi depresije, anksioznosti i stresa bili su povezani s lošim snom. Kod studenata druge godine značajno češće bio je prisutan normalan osjećaj stresa i anksioznosti te su imali značajno manji prosječan zbroj bodova na podskali stresa i podskali anksioznosti u usporedbi sa studentima prve godine. Između drugih promatranih općih karakteristika ispitanika i depresije, anksioznosti i stresa nisu uočene značajne povezanosti. Nije uočena značajna povezanost kvalitete sna s općim karakteristikama ispitanika.
ZAKLJUČAK: Depresija, anksioznost i stres imaju negativan utjecaj na kvalitetu sna što negativno utječe na kvalitetu života, stoga je važno njihovo rano otkrivanje i liječenje. |
Abstract (english) | AIMS: To examine the relationship between symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress with the quality of sleep of nursing students of the Graduate University Study of Nursing, located in Sveta Nedelja.
TYPE OF STUDY: A cross-sectional survey was conducted.
METHODS ISSUED: The respondents were all students of the Graduate University Study of Nursing, Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek, located in Sveta Nedelja, who agreed to voluntarily participate in the research. The data were collected using a questionnaire on the influence of depression, anxiety and stress on the sleep quality of nursing students.
RESULTS: The majority of the respondents were female, average age 31 years, employed and in their second year of study. On average, the respondents reported mild depression, mild anxiety and mild stress. As many as 57,7 % of the respondents had poor sleep, and 42,3 % of them had good sleep. Moderate, severe, and very severe symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress were associated with poor sleep. Second-year students had significantly more normal feelings of stress and anxiety, and they had a significantly lower average score on the stress subscale and anxiety subscale compared to first-year students. No significant correlations were observed between other observed general characteristics of the subjects and depression, anxiety and stress. No significant correlation between the quality of sleep and the general characteristics of the subjects was observed.
CONCLUSION: Depression, anxiety and stress have a negative impact on the quality of sleep, which negatively affects the quality of life, so early detection and treatment is important. |
