Objectives: The main goal of this research was to examine whether the respondents are informed as regards to the types of prosthetic replacements in the area of the city of Split. Study design: Cross-sectional study implemented in the area of the city of Split. Participants and Methods: The research included 95 randomly selected respondents. The research was conducted in the area of the city of Split. An anonymous and voluntary questionnaire consisting of 20 questions was designed for the purpose of conducting the research. Before filling out the questionnaire, each respondent gave informed consent to participate in the research and consent to the use of data for the purpose of conducting the research. The research was conducted during July 2023. Results: The research included 95 respondents - 37 (38.9%) men and 58 (61.1%) women of different ages and levels of education. Most respondents, 61%, recognize the difference between fixed and mobile prostheses. More women than men agree that dental crowns, bridges and partial crowns belong to fixed works. Also, more women (63%) agree that total and partial dentures belong to mobile prosthetic replacements. Respondents with a higher professional education (graduate level and above) show significantly less knowledge as regards to whether inlay, onlay and overlay are prosthetic replacements whose purpose is to compensate for the tooth damage caused by caries or trauma compared to respondents with a lower level of education. Respondents with a graduate level of education and above (12 respondents or 48%) state significantly more that total and partial dentures belong to fixed prostheses. Conclusion: The results of the research indicate that the respondents are well informed about the types of prosthetic replacements.
