THE RESEARCH AIM: To determine the life quality of people living with HIV in the Clinic for Infectious Diseases "Dr. Fran Mihaljević". STUDY DRAFT: Cross-sectional study with a purposive sample. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: People living with HIV who use the services of the HIV clinic and the department of the Institute for Infections of Immunocompromised Patients participated in the research. The research was conducted using a written paper questionnaire that was compiled according to the WHOQOL-HIV BREF questionnaire. in the time period from 01.03. until 01.05. 2024. The statistical program IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 was used for statistical data processing. for Windows, version 0.0.1., IBM, USA, Software inc; in 2021. RESULTS: Research on the quality of life of people living with HIV at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases "Dr. Fran Mihaljević" 99 respondents participated, of which 91% were men and 9% were women aged 20 to 70. The mean values of the ratings ranged depending on the question from 1.8 to 4.4 out of a possible 5. There is a statistically significant difference in rating the feeling that physical pain prevents daily life with regard to the level of education (P=0.026), in rating the enjoyment of life considering age (P=0.046). in death care with regard to gender, age and level of education (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Respondents mostly agree that the information needed for everyday life is available and they are mostly satisfied with their access to health services. They deny the existence of physical problems related to HIV infection and believe that they do not need medical treatment to function in everyday life.
