INTRODUCTION: The human body is the most complex mechanism we find in nature. Any treatment and approach must take into account the integrity and inseparability of the human being. The Feldenkrais method (FM) seeks to function in this way. PROCEDURES: 57 studies are included in the writing of the thesis. 8 are books, and 49 studies were downloaded from the online database and all literature corresponds to the content of the thesis. OVERVIEW: FM is a movement skill with minimal energy expenditure and maximum effectiveness learned through self-observation and is not classified as a medical intervention but as a process of learning and self-development. If the same reflexes are activated too often, they become automatic after a while and we no longer have conscious control over them. The muscles are activated automatically depending on the situation we are in and by losing control of them we forget how to move optimally. All this results in chronically increased muscle tone, lack of mobility, pain, weakness due to fatigue caused by constant activation, changes in posture and loss of movement efficiency, and chronic fatigue. Through learning FM there is an awareness of one's increased muscle tone and the inability to control certain parts of the body. The more aware a person is of the real state he is in, the greater the possibility of changing the state and improving the movement function. CONCLUSION: No method is omnipotent and a solution to all problems and such an approach leads us to a dead-end, but the Feldenkrais method can only improve the overall approach to patients, clients and ultimately improve the lives of all those who do it.
