Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis is a progressive autoimmune disease in which the main role is played by chronic inflammation that mostly affects the joints. Rheumatoid arthritis reduces the quality of life of patients due to functional incapacity in performing daily activities, and rehabilitation is carried out to reduce the consequences of the disease. The goal of treatment is a state of remission that can be achieved with optimal treatment. Procedure: A review of the literature was conducted through databases such as PubMed, IEEE, Google Scholar. The key words used in the search engines were „exoskeleton“, „rheumatoid arthtiris“ and „robotic rehabilitation“. 160 articles were identified, 103 of which were used in writing because some designs in articles were used for different purposes. Overview: Drug and physiotherapy treatment should start at an early stage of the disease in which there is less joint destruction and greater functionality in order to achieve remission as soon as possible. Due to the growing number of patients in need of arm rehabilitation, such as patients with rheumatoid arthritis, there is a tendency to develop new methods of rehabilitation that would allow high patient motivation to perform exercises and set a pattern of repetitive exercises to develop neuroplasticity. Due to the inability of most patients to secure frequent physiotherapy visits and the limited number of physiotherapists for simple preventive exercises, patients with rheumatoid arthritis would benefit from a portable robotic glove for home rehabilitation. Conclusion: Clinical studies using robotic glove for arm rehabilitation in patients with rheumatoid arthritis have shown a positive outcome on arm rehabilitation and recovery.
