Aim of paper: The aim of this paper is, with the right choice of medical literature, to describe a case of a preterm infant who was exposed to neurorisk and therefore emphasizes the importance of early intervention in terms of developmental therapy, more precisely, developmental gymnastics exercises so that a premature infant with a potential risk for further development could develop and function normally. Case report: A patient, N. N., was transferred from the maternitiy hospital to the neonatology department due to premature birth or prematurity, perinatal asphyxia, aspiration pneumonia, and acute cystopyelitis. A complication that favored these diagnoses was the failure to remove the cerclage of the cervix in time, while the mother began to experience labor and consequently led to a long and traumatic birth. During hospitalization, Cranial ultrasound (CUS) revealed the presence of first-degree intracranial hemorrhage (HIC 1), which is manifested in the child's poor motor skills and classifies it as neurorisk and therefore indicates the implementation of developmental gymnastics exercises. Conclusion: The brain is an essential organ of the central nervous system that dominates cognitive functions such as intelligence and memory and primarily motor functions that are manifested in coordination, stability, balance and normal muscle tone, and premature birth causes changes in brain development which is the importance of the process of neuroplasticity or changing the structure of the brain due to gaining appropriate experiences is emphasized. In team intervention for a premature infant classified as neurorisk, an important role is played by a physiotherapist who conducts developmental therapy based on developmental gymnastics excercises and teaches the same to parents and leads to neuromotor progress.
