Abstract | Ciljevi: Svrha je ovog istraživanja napraviti usporedbu zadovoljstva poslom medicinskih
raspraviti dobivene rezultate.
Nacrt studije: Presječna studija s prigodnim uzorkom.
međuodnosima s kolegama i nadređenima, materijalnim naknadama, organizacijom, utjecaju
Abstract (english) | Objectives: The objective of this research is to compare job satisfaction among nurses working
in COVID-19 intensive care units with regards to their place of work, to assess general job
satisfaction and analyze the collected data, then to present, interpret and discuss the obtained
results.
Study draft: A cross-sectional study with a suitable sample.
Methods: For the purpose of this research, a survey of job satisfaction factors was constructed.
The survey consists of four questions regarding demographic data, i.e. age, gender, level of
education, and place of work, as well as sixteen questions about job satisfaction factors with
response categories on a Likert-type scale (1 – I do not agree at all, 2 – I mostly disagree, 3- I
can't decide, 4 – I mostly agree, 4 – I completely agree). These questions refer to the
respondents' assessment of job satisfaction in the COVID-19 intensive care unit, i.e. to general
job satisfaction, working conditions, relationships with colleagues and superiors, financial
compensation, organization, the impact of work on private life, as well as the impact of those
experiences on their future career path.
Results: The results of this research indicate an almost equal distribution of responses between
ward nurses and those working in the ICU. A statistically significant difference was found in
four variables. A higher percentage of ward nurses compared to ICU nurses consider themselves
more satisfied with the COVID-19 ICU than their usual workplace, find the working conditions
in COVID-19 ICU satisfactory, are not looking forward to returning to their workplace, and
believe that this experience will help their career.
Conclusion: Ward nurses and ICU nurses are generally satisfied with their work in the COVID-
19 ICU. |
